The Viper Returns

Ovation is electric again.

After years away from the world of solid-body electric guitars, Ovation brings back the Viper — a name with a history, reimagined for a new generation of players.

Built around Ovation’s unmistakable approach to guitar design, the Viper combines a lightweight, ergonomic body with modern components and a remarkably versatile tonal palette. From clean, articulate tones to powerful, driven sounds, the Viper is made to adapt — whether on stage, in the studio or at home.

At the heart of the design is the Babicz Full Contact Bridge, providing exceptional string-to-body contact and sustain. Lace pickups deliver clarity, responsiveness and a wide tonal range, while the choice of hardtail or tremolo lets players find the setup that fits their style.

The result is a guitar that feels familiar, yet distinctly different. A modern electric guitar with the character, innovation and individuality that have always defined Ovation.

The Viper is back. And Ovation is electric again.

A class of its own.

Exceptional features, outstanding sounds and a consistently high level of quality are the basic recipe for the Ovation Pro Series.

Over the last five decades, Ovation has made a name for itself through groundbreaking developments and modern designs, especially in circles of advanced and professional musicians. Legendary world stars have been swearing by the instruments of the American high-end maker for decades, and so model names such as Balladeer, Legend and Elite contribute significantly to the name recognition of the Ovation brand to this day. All these historic models, with their specific features, are combined in the Pro Series and still form the core range of Ovation Guitars.
